Christiana Care Health System - Newark, DE, one of the largest health systems in the Mid-Atlantic serving more than a million people throughout Delaware and neighboring states, has six residency positions beginning August 23, 2010. The primary sites for our 12-month Clinical Pastoral Education Program are Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware and our Wilmington Hospital campus in Wilmington, Delaware. You will learn with a seven member clinical staff in clinical settings that include Level I Trauma, Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, Family Medicine, Oncology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Cardiology and Vascular Health. We offer a current annual stipend of $34,113, a $1,000 book/conference allowance, healthcare benefits and paid time off. There are no application or tuition fees. CPE Residency, Hospital of Saint Raphael, New Haven, CT – 511 bed academic health science center affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine. Five residency positions available from August 23, 2010 till June 4, 2011. (Nine-month residency program offering 3 units of CPE). Our program offers pastoral experience in the areas of cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, HIV/AIDS, general surgery, general medicine, gerontology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, emergency medicine, and obstetrics. Current year's stipend is $20,210. Full medical and dental benefits, with some employee contribution, are provided from the first day of employment. St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, PA – Five residency positions available for August 30, 2010 – September 5, 2011. The program includes three (3) 12-week CPE units and 6-week integration periods between units. Context is a 500-bed community teaching hospital and Level I trauma center. Director of Pastoral Care and Clinical Pastoral Education, Cincinnati, OH - Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion seeks to fill the position of Director of Pastoral Care and Clinical Pastoral Education in the Rabbinical School at its Cincinnati campus, appointment on July 1, 2010 or later (depending on availability). Candidates must be an ACPE-certified Supervisor, or progressing towards certification as an ACPE-certified Supervisor, and be an ordained rabbi with experience working with liberal Jewish communities and congregations. Instructional responsibilities (under the supervision of the Director of the Rabbinical School) include: Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) courses at the HUC campus and overseeing students’ progress in CPE courses taught at other sites; Required courses in Human Relations and Pastoral Care; Participation in Professional Development courses, workshops, seminars; Supervision of 1-2 student sermons each year. Health Care Chaplaincy, New York, NY - Health Care Chaplaincy has an opening for Supervisory Education Student(s). The Chaplaincy is a New York City-based nonprofit organization that partners with medical centers, regional healthcare institutions and community hospitals.
